45min presentation followed by Q&A session

ISL are proud to host our new series of online events, welcoming professionals who are KEY to the INTERPRETING INDUSTRY.

Our next guest will Mark Lewis, National Police Contract Manager for Language Services, Leicestershire Police. This session will be focused on ‘Introduction to Police Interpreting’.

It is aimed at interpreters who are new to the field or who are considering obtaining suitable qualifications in order to be able to work for the police.

We will be discussing

  • what you require in order to work for the police,
  • what a typical assignment looks like and
  • situations you may encounter when carrying out police assignments.

There will be an opportunity to ask Mark questions live, following the session presentation.

Any interpreters who are already working within the Police setting and would like to know more about the PAIT scheme are welcome to join our next event hosted by Mark Lewis, which will be held in June 2021.

Due to demand, we are running two dates for this event: 29th of April 2021 from 4pm and 30th of April 2021 from 11am. Please do not attend both sessions, as they will be identical.

Entry is free and you can download the Zoom link once you’ve registered your details.
