What is it?
Our high-quality tutor-led DPSI preparation course is a fixed-length, on-demand tutor-led preparation course with additional optional extras. At its’ core is a bundle of 4 focused sessions based around interpreting specialisms (police, court, prison and probation and immigration) which are presented remotely (through Zoom) by a highly skilled and qualified tutor on a one-to-one basis on 4 consecutive weeks. They consist of:
- informative material
- supporting documents and forms
- key terminology
- glossaries
- the most important statements/phrases you will need to be familiar with
- and excerpts from past DPSI exam papers across all units.
The specialism sessions are followed by 3 sessions with a qualified and experienced language specialist, with whom you will complete:
- role plays in DPSI-specific specialisms
- a review of glossaries provided by the tutor
- verification of your understanding and interpretation of the key statements/phrases
- feedback on your performance of interpreting/translation of excerpts during tutor sessions.
In addition, you are able to undertake a mock DPSI exam, experiencing exam conditions and obtaining detailed feedback on your performance from the language specialist (please note, the mock exam results will not count towards the official DPSI exam – the mock exam is for the purpose of practice only).
