The purpose of this session is to teach interpreters how to help their own mental well-being and deal with potential traumatic situations they may encounter.

Section 1:

An overview of what trauma is, how it may affect you and how you can identify its effect.

Section 2:

Creating an awareness of the strategies that an interpreter may utilise when suffering trauma during interpreting or as a result of having to convey traumatic messages.

Section 3:

Breathing exercise – it takes 2 minutes and can be done anywhere at any time, which makes it perfect for everyone, anywhere.
